Caitlin is a Registered Psychologist and a member of the Psychologists Association of Alberta. She has experience and training in providing counselling to children, adolescents, adults, and families. She approaches therapy from a trauma-informed, attachment-based lens. She believes that healthy relationships, with ourselves and with others, are vital to living a fulfilling and enjoyable life. She takes an eclectic approach to therapy and has received training in multiple modalities. Caitlin believes in the healing power of strong, healthy relationships. People can achieve incredible things when they feel secure and supported. Central to healthy relationships is safety and empathy. Within the safety of the therapeutic relationship, people can make great strides in the direction of an enjoyable and fulfilling life.
Caitlin also has experience teaching courses and workshops in couples communication, parenting children and adolescents, grief and loss, attachment and trauma, parenting after separation and communication after separation. She has worked in the non-profit sector for fifteen years, supporting individuals and families with complex trauma, emotional and relational challenges. She is passionate about social justice and systemic change; she has worked with children and families within school systems, the children's services sector, sport organizations and the medical sector. Caitlin is an avid basketball fan, loves hiking, swimming and animals.
